I, Ayesha Quadri, am a homeschooling mother of 4 kids. I have been involved with several homeschooling communities in Toronto and India. I have passion
for drama and team games. I have experimented with the use of drama
for personality development among kids and youth.
My goal is to inspire, motivate and build the personality of kids
through the medium of drama and games.
For the muslim homeschooling community I have developed some drama based games and scripts based on Quran and Sunnah. This can help to enable the students to develop deep connection with Seerah and apply lessons to their context. This is part of a unique course called Inside-out personality development program based on Seerah, Quranic stories and some mindfullness concepts. I started one of the first batch in 2019. It helped kids to break the monotony of online learning and revitalize their attention, learning and interest during the Covid lockdown. The challenge was to transform and conduct the drama and team building games online on Zoom
I created an original drama program based on Hadith for elementary
students that focuses on promoting communication skills and
understanding of Seerah through age appropriate scripts, and
interactive movement activities.
In collaboration with Dawanet I wrote and produced two original plays (Seerah Trail) in 2016 and 2017 at Brampton Theater and Port Credit school theater in Toronto
